My head gasket blew two days after purchasing the car.

The transmission was stuffed when I purchased the car. But after a Reco transmission, it was all good.

General Comments:

I purchased the car from a young kid who lost his licence. It's a 1982 Ford Fairmont Ghia. It's a XE, which is weird since the XD was still around then. The car handles like a tank, but I love it.

SO much power for a 250, and it's a joy to drive. I have rebuilt the car from ground up, and I love it.

I also have a '83 Ford Falcon S-Pack, '79 Ford Falcon XD GL, and an '82 Ford Fairlane.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Hi, don't worry about 1982, XEs came out in July 82.
