2009 Ford Ka Studio 1.2 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Awesome little car, much better than previous generation Ka

Faults:

Suspension noises, rumbling at rear, replaced rear shocks, also did the brakes all round (discs and pads).

Rear hatch struts weak and won't hold open.

Interior has serious wear, exterior is as good as new however.

General Comments:

Studio Ka is as basic as it gets, but is still a stylish little runabout. Has done me well as a used purchase the last few years.

1.2 is slow as expected, but does close to 50 mpg, which for petrol is as good as it gets.

Inside is cramped and a bit noisy at speed, but not a car you buy for comfort.

Very cheap to buy and run.

Not dated at all despite being over 10 years old, and worlds ahead of the old 1990's generation. No rust whatsoever! I will keep this car till it dies!

Later Ka's were much better than the old ones. I don't get anywhere near 50 mpg from my 1.2 petrol however, lucky if I get 42 mpg. My Ka is also on the rustier side now! You have done well to have a 2009 Ka still running well with no rust.

2009 Ford Ka from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Very reliable, starts every time, CUTE and QUIRKY! Lovely car

Faults:

No faults has run well since bought.

General Comments:

It is a very cute car, has many quirky features within the car.

Mirrors are quite small, creating a larger blind spot, however they are easy to adapt to.

Starts every time, and has a quiet motor.

Perfect for a learner or P plater, as it is quite hard to stall.

The cabin is quite small; tall people will possibly hit their head in the front seats.
