1993 Ford Mondeo Ghia Estate 2.0i from UK and Ireland
Summary:
I will probably run this car into the ground before it is changed
Faults:
Engine cut out regularly. Having started it up and commenced a journey, when brakes applied at first bend (low speed) the engine cut out -leading to no hydraulics on brakes and no power steering. Mechanics didn't know what it was... still baffling but seems better now. Nothing else.
General Comments:
Practical and trusty all rounder. Pulls a caravan nicely and the paint shines nicely when washed. The old buzzwords for FORD (Fixed Or Repaired Daily and Found On Road Dead) definitely do not apply. Recently considered trading in for a newer car but decided that this car is difficult to match for equipment and is superbly reliable.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Cutting out when cold on my Mondeo was caused by two problems...1) Incorrect grade of oil (Thank you Kwik-fit) and 2) Loose connection on Power Stearing switch!
