2019 Ford Mondeo Zetec Edition 2.0 diesel EcoBlue from UK and Ireland
Summary:
As good as cars in this class get
Faults:
Slightly higher miles than average for its age, and I bought it used last year; according to the history it has had the usual wear and tear parts replaced, but no signs of any problems. Keep on top of servicing to keep problems at bay, as with any car.
General Comments:
What to say about my Mondeo that has not been said on here already?...
Well it is a good looking car. It has all the mod cons. It's comfortable and nice to drive. All these things you would expect I guess.
I actually had a 1990's Mondeo many years ago and it was a great car, but nothing like this newer one obviously, it is generations ahead. It does however still have the same underlying design philosophy - a family car that is both practical and good to drive.
2.0 diesel is powerful and economical. The torque band is always there and it never struggles.
Inside the seats are as comfy as you can get and the visibility is surprisingly good for a modern car.
To conclude, I have nothing much negative to say about this car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Economy might improve with age and mileage - is it still relatively low mileage and new?
I have a 2.0 diesel with the auto from 2018, now on 50,000 miles, pretty sure it is probably the same engine as yours, I get an average of 58 mpg, not bad. Calculated accurately myself, still do not trust the trip computer on modern cars.
