1994 Ford Mustang 3.6 from North America
Summary:
Good value for your dollar
Faults:
Nothing has gone wrong, yet. The clutch has developed a squeak at low to moderate speeds. Sound disappears at highway speed. I'm starting to have some problems with gear synchronization when down shifting from 2nd to 1st. I'm hoping it can be cured by a simple adjustment, but will probably require replacing entire clutch assembly.
General Comments:
It is a fun car to drive.
Comfortable seats make long trips more enjoyable.
Relatively good on fuel, giving as much as 32 to 34 mpg on the highway using the cruise control.
This is my second 94 Mustang, first was bought new in 94. I much prefer the auto transmission I had in the first one.
Body roll when cornering takes some getting used to. Handling could be tighter.
A rethink on the placement of the cup holder would have been nice. Ford dropped the ball in that area.
Fit and finish is exceptionally good.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Don't shift from 2nd to 1st; the syncro is not meant for shifting from 2nd to 1st.
