Faults:
Put two mufflers on it (salt rots them out)
Valve cover gaskets at 67,000.
Brakes pads and rotors at 66,000 (original pads actually still had use in them, but were so rusty that they just fell apart when we took them off)
Tires at 67,000..orignal Firestone Radial ATX still had some wear left.
New hubs in the front end at 64,000 due to lack of lubrication which was caused by lack of 4 wheel drive use.
General Comments:
My dad bought this truck used in 1994 when it was 2 years old and it had 19,000 miles on it. Ever since hes owned it, hes kept it in very nice shape. He drove it daily to work and once in a while on trips. He has now given the truck to me as my first vehicle and I couldnt ask for anything better. I am totally obsessed with the truck now and I haven't let it get out in the rain and or salt in the last 2 years. The paint on it looks almost as good as it did when it came out of the showroom and I keep the wax right to it. The truck has almost no rust at all.. just one little bubble under the passenger side door. The underside of it is a bit rusty, but I plan on sanding it all down and repainting it this winter. Interior is in great shape and the bench seat is very comfortable and I love the way the truck sits. I have put a K and N air filter on it and a glasspack muffler to give it a little tone. I admit the 2.9 V6 is a little underpowered, but hey who needs to go fast. I'm not your average 16 year old and I don't beat the thing. I take great pride in this old truck and its in immaculate condition for the year it is. Not even broke in yet. Most people think its restored. I'd die for this truck and I'm never gonna sell it and ill keep it as long as I live.

Hi there. I have a 92 Ranger STX 2wd X-cab. I agree, these older Rangers are very nice trucks. I'm glad that you like them.
I noticed while reading your comment that you had maintenence issues with the oil/gas, etc. I had a similar problem regarding the oil pan gasket leaking. It's going to be an easy fix, but it is a little costly, I'd say $500.
