I bought my little Streetka on impulse, actually on a drive back from the tip in July 2004.
I was impressed by it's style on a sloping ramp on the garage forecourt.
Took it for a test drive the following day and have loved it ever since.
Touch wood, it has never let me down, though I did have trouble with the alarm going off after putting the hood up, just a case of seating the hood cover correctly.
She still looks good almost 2 years later.
Really love those drives home from work in the summer with the top down.

We had a the Winter Edition from March 04. The only real problems we've had are the level of service we got from TC Harrison's. Shocking is all I can say. Oh and the depreciation.

I bought my Streetka winter addition in August 05 and have had nothing, but problems with the Alarm. The car has been into several different Ford garages, none of which can repair the fault. I have had the car returned from these garages over 15 times, each time being informed that the car has been fixed. Within a week of the car being returned the alarm never fails to go off for no reason.
I have had the car for nearly a Year now, but unfortunately rarely get to drive it as it is always in the Garage.

My parents have a StreetKa Luxury on an 03 reg. Bought new, done 33,000 miles and not a single fault to its name.

I bought an 04 streetKA 2nd hand. I love it, but have had very bad alarm problems. After sending it in a few times they managed to work out that it was due to the sensors in the boot and roof conpartment. The problem went after this.
Now I am having problems with it losing power and the fault light coming on. It has been in a few times and they can't work it out. At the moment it sounds like a 20 year old banger. Can anyone help with what it might be as the garage can't work it out?

I bought the Ford Street ka Winter edition about 6 months ago now, and have never once had a problem with the car! The car is gorgeous and I would not swap it for any other! I have got a soft top and the hard top, the soft top is great for the summer and the hard top is great for the winter (as it is designed for). Although the car would still be great, for the winter with only the soft top. I have only good things to say about this car!

I have had a streetka soft top version for three years and have been delighted with it. Not one problem. I love driving it with the roof down. This is a classic car.

I love my little StreetKa Lux, although recently have noticed it has started to leak quite badly when it rains through the top of the window. Any one else had this problem? Also mine does often lose power when pulling off, but I've got use to it now, and no warning light has ever come on.

Bought a 03 Streetka last March (06).
OK until now, but when I set the alarm, within 6 seconds the alarm goes off and I have to open up the alarm again. Keeps doing this all the time, so I have to lock with the key.
Anybody got any ideas?

Mine's been appalling (03 reg). In 2 yrs of ownership:
Cam sensor
Crank sensor
O2 sensor
Fuel pump (££££'s)
Lower arm bushes
Anti roll bar bushes
Alarm failure
Heater valve failure
Squealing clutch release bearing
Misfire when cold that can't be fixed
Intermittent engine management light which can't be fixed.
Broken boot release
Paint flaking from a poorly fitted hood cover.
Wind noise from windows.
The car has not yet done 50,000 miles and came from a Ford main dealer with all the Ford checks. It's been serviced exactly to the schedule too.
How is it possible to still build cars this badly?

I've had my 53 reg Streetka for 3 years and in that time the only problems I've had have been self inflicted. Apart from the fact that the engine management light has been on for the last 6 months. the Ford Dealership can't find whats wrong, (it drives fine), and can't switch it off.
My only complaint is that I had to replace the rear window (I split it accidentally on a cold morning). It appeared to be an easy enough job as it zips in and out. It took the Ford Dealership 4 hours (supposedly) to replace, and the result was shocking. Instead of the taut plastic window I was expecting, the plastic was rippled and looks shoddy. The window now leaks and the manager of the body-shop shrugged it off 'as they best they could do'. Which I think is disgraceful, this is a main Ford Dealership, not a back street garage. I expected more from them and a better standard of work.

Does anyone know how to fix the alarms on these Street Kas? Every time we lock it, about 30 seconds later it goes off? Only had the car 1 week, bought it for the girlfriend and with no warranty. I would disconnect it if I knew how!

I bought my StreetKa in 2003, it's only just done under 21,000 miles. I just took it into the garage because the engine light came on. First they said that it was dirt in the petrol then I was told that it was the Lambda Sensor (O2), the garage said that they would need to be replaced as a pair and would cost over £100 each! I've now booked into the Ford garage because they said that I probably won't need both replacing. Apparently, when these sensors are not working it can lead to the sudden loss of power that other people have mentioned as well as greater use of fuel. I'm hoping that I only need one replacing because I've had to pay for a service, MOT and my insurance this month as well.

I bought my Streetka winter edition in April 2004 and I absolutely love it to bits.
I've had a problem with the engine light coming on and recently with loss of power. The latest incident has resulted in the wiring loom (?) having to be replaced along with the PCM (?). I saw the car three days ago and it was virtually a shell with four wheels and an engine and anything remotely electrical had been stripped out.
I've searched the web and found a few comments from people with similar problems re engine lights and loss of power so perhaps this is a bigger problem than we realise.
To add insult to injury they've just called to say that the car is ready for collection - oh and by the way the front tyres are worn on the inside and will need replacing very soon. The car has only done 11,000 miles.
The guys I work with are convinced this is due to suspension or tracking problems. Anyone else had this problem?
Needless to say, I will be changing my car very soon!
