2004 Ford Taurus SES Sedan 3.0 V6 Duratec from North America
Summary:
The Silver Bull is and always will be a part of the family
Faults:
Replaced the transmission at 150,000 miles and put in many other new parts since day one of ownership in 2004.
General Comments:
This is my second Taurus. This version of the Taurus (2000 to 2007) is so widely popular. It seems like everywhere you go, you see one of these. The station wagons are very rare.
My Taurus SES Sedan Duratec is in the popular silver color with the gray interior color combination. It's always garage kept and never sees winter weather, but it's always driven locally during Spring, Summer and Fall. Love the floor shifter cos it makes driving so much fun. Mine has the power sunroof and spoiler.
Yes, I've replaced many parts on it. Transmission was replaced at 150,000 miles. The car still runs the same way it did when I bought it new. The interior is quite big. The trunk is huge!!
I absolutely love this car. Easy to get parts for it. If you're looking for a nice daily driver, then this is definitely a great choice.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Would be more accurate to say the station wagons are "less common" than the sedans, rather than "rare". Collectible? Sure, in 40-50 years, along with any other ICE powered cars still around by then.

If something is uncommon to a degree, then even if fairly contemporary, it is rare.

The station wagons are rare for sure. Could become collectible over time.
