I had a sho and it was the best car I ever had a couple of problems with the fuel and alternator, but besides that it will out run any stock mustang I've raced.

ANY car more than 5 years old that has been neglected is most likely well on its way to being a hunk of junk. Enter the Ford SHOs. What they are NOT! They are not Honda Civics. No, you CANNOT neglect them by missing service intervals and expect them to work correctly for an extended period of time. In fact, if it breaks you are better off fixing it right away before the problem causes more problems. The complexity of the engine only complicates matters. It takes about 20 minutes to replace the plug wire set on a typical Honda/Acura. It takes 2 hours to replace the plug wire set on an SHO! You don't EVEN WANT TO KNOW what it costs to do the same procedure on a V8 Taurus SHO. Let's just say you will start off by paying $850.00 to replace every coil. I hate to be too harsh, but you need to learn more about buying cars. The main problem is that you paid too much for this car. Since you are having so many problems with the car usually there are telltale signs of neglect. That having been said I am sure I could make a hunk of junk look like it is worth $1000.00 more than it actually is with an engine steam clean and a weekend of polishing and buffing. I'm sorry to hear that your car is so beat up and neglected. Since it isn't a Honda which would enable to find many parts cheaply/quickly it probably is not worth keeping. If I had to get rid of it, I would put it on e-bay as many SHO fans frequent such sites and are now looking for donor cars. All the best.

I must agree with the fellow before this listing. We bought our 1993 SHO new and we kept it up. I will never sell this car and YES, we toss money at it like we are millionaires. Somebody asked me why do you throw money in this old car? I tell them, step on the pedal and you'll know. This is the fastest production car Ford ever made and bar none, there isn't a mustang out there that can catch the nose of this car in a quarter mile or 30 miles!

I have a 93' SHO with 164,500 miles and its still runnin like a Ford with high miles. Valve cover gasket is bad, but other than that were runnin strong.
