1998 Ford Windstar from North America
Faults:
My in-laws gave us their old Windstar a year ago. We thought we were getting a deal because the car was free. However, we've put more money into this car than if we had been making car payments on a new car!
So far, we've had to replace several very expensive sensors, the steering rack, and now possibly the entire power steering system.
The power lock system is broken, even though the Ford dealer fixed it before the car was given to us.
The passenger window doesn't roll down, and one of the seals leaks transmission fluid like crazy. We have to fill it up with transmission fluid every other week, because we can't afford to fix the leak. It's only a matter of time before the transmission goes out in this car.
Would NEVER get another Ford. It's by far the worst and most expensive car I've ever owned (and I've owned a lot of old crappy cars). We're getting rid of it as soon as possible.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

My '03 Windstar couldn't even make it to 100,000 miles without needing over $6,000 in repairs. I never got it to 100,000 because I refused to replace the transmission. I'll take a Honda or Toyota van anyday. Especially an old Toyota Previa, those things are indestructible.
