1994 Geo Tracker 1.6 from North America
Summary:
Fun to drive.. hell to wreck in.
Faults:
Due to poor quality do it yourself work by previous owner: New Exhaust, valves, hoses, battery mount, missing bolts in various places, air conditioner/ belt tensioner broken.. ergo: (no power steering/ air conditioning).
153000 miles- Drivers side door fell off had to be welded back on.
Broke down.. according to repair shop there was some kind of wire in the gas tank that was loose..
Front seat broken (I'm a big guy: not necessarily the cars fault)
Various fragile interior pieces broken.. air vents, etc.
Battery drains quickly due to after-market stereo equipment..
General Comments:
This was my first car at 18 years old.. learning how to drive this car was a challenge.. I have never driven anything quite this unstable.. Anyone who has driven a tracker knows that this is one car not to make mistakes in. Over the past couple years I have come to learn and appreciate the feel this vehicle has when driving it. I have come to learn its capabilities and have made it a game out of pushing them.
The four wheel drive works very well for the money.. I have never gotten stuck in anything..
I replaced the original rag top with a fiberglass one..
My only complaint is, It definitely needs more "get up and go"...
I have replaced the stock air-box with a performance cone filter, thusly making the car have more of a "growl" to it when revving up the engine..
The car has had some custom paint work done to it with more to come..
Replaced Stock Stereo with better speakers and a stereo with MP3 Capability..
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The radio has a security code that needs to be entered whenever the battery is disconnected.
