If the car is occasionally running rough (and you already changed the air filter and fuel filter, which are common problems with these cars) you should check that the catalytic converter is not clogged with a pressure gauge in the O2 sensor bungs, before and after the cat, to see if they read correctly (check a YouTube video if you are unsure).
Another problem might be your MAF sensor, which you can clean with a specialized MAF cleaner spray. Most of the really expensive parts in a Tracker can be cleaned if you know what you are doing.
But in case you don't, there are always the factory service manuals for your specific make and model of car for sale on eBay that cover all kinds of trouble shooting, and at around 30-50$ for the manual including shipping, it is hard to go wrong. Most mechanics don't even have these anymore, so you are even better equipped to solve your own problems once you have one of these little guys.

I also have a 95 Tracker.
I cannot find the switch. I took the speaker out, fuse block out, steering panel and instrument cluster off.
Help, Jay.

The service switch fixed the check engine light that was on constantly, even with no trouble codes present. The switch is located lower right, behind the speaker, lower left dash.

Have a 92 Geo Tracker. That engine light just went on. After reading all the comments and doing some searching, I realized I had just hit 50,000 original miles. So after using the jump wire to find out what the engine codes were, which there were none, I have slid the switch under the dash over and back, and the light went off. Thanks for everyone's great comments!!! Much appreciated!!

If the slider switch is to the right, slide to left and leave it there. The check engine light will come back on in 20,000 miles, and you then will slide it to the right. My 1995 has come on at 60k, 80k, 100k, and now 120k miles. It is a nice reminder to have hoses and belts checked for the routine maintenance.
