1985 Holden Calais VK 3.3 OHV petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Luxury at a brilliant bargain

Faults:

I blew the Distributer Cap one morning.

The electronic speedometer has a problem with jumping around between 5 km/h and 38 km/h.

I had an oil leak at about 230,000 kilometers.

Drinks fuel like nobodies business. It uses about 75 dollars of fuel per week. (At about 98.7 cpl Lead Replacement Petrol).

The on-board computer 'Low Coolant' sensor never stops going off. Very annoying, especially on long trips.

General Comments:

The steering and acceleration is smooth.

The electronic dash is very useful and educational.

It comes standard with four speakers. I like that in a car.

It has huge boot space. Plenty of room for a sub woofer, or a kangaroo body, if you like that sort of thing.

Seats are the most comfortable auto furniture that I have ever sat on.

I bought the car for $4,990 minus Trade In, it was the best bargain I have ever seen!
