2008 Honda Accord EX 2.4 liter from North America

Summary:

The Accord is comfortable, rides well and gets good gas mileage

Faults:

The evaporator had to be replaced. It was defective when the car was shipped to the dealer.

General Comments:

The car is comfortable, handles well and gets good gas mileage.

This is my 4th Accord. I sold my 1994 Accord with 235,000 miles because my wife does not drive a manual transmission and the gas costs for her SUV was getting too expensive.

I hated the outside styling of this model and was considering buying a Camry instead. It took a while for me to get used to but now I like it.

The interior of the car is stylish and very comfortable. I purchased the car for the long haul and hope to have it for over 200,000 miles.

Truth is... I liked the exterior but didn't like the dash design; go figure huh? :) Anyway what kind of mileage figures do you come up with? City? Hwy? Average? Just curious for future reference.

2008 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4 VTEC from North America

Summary:

A beautiful car

Faults:

So far, nothing has gone wrong with the car.

General Comments:

Wow, this car is absolutely amazing. The VTEC engine is strong at 190 hp and the appearance of the vehicle is striking. It kind of looks like a bmw 5 series from the side and a bit of honda s2000 on the front of the car. Fuel economy is amazing, (38 mpg hwy) (43 mpg stated by EPA). The ride is smooth and the seats are oh so comfortable. Trunk space is huge and rear seats are well positioned and comfortable.

The only complaint I have is the NAVI option is not available yet on the 4 cylinder models.

I cannot believe your claims on gas mileage. The EPA estimate for the EX-L four cylinder is 21 city, 30 highway. I have been getting between 25 and 28 mpg and I check every time I fill up. Your claims of 38 miles per gallon just doesn't seem logical for this vehicle.

I have been waiting for a long highway trip to gauge what I'll get with highway driving alone. I'm convinced I can get at least 30 miles per gallon.

Uh 43 mpg EPA gas mileage? You might want to double check that! More like 21 city/31 highway/25 combined.

If you look at his review, his mileage is listed in "KILOMETERS", implying that he is probably from Canada. In Canada, we use imperial gallons (the British system). So his review is entirely accurate, contrary to all the nay sayers.
