I experienced the same problem with my Honda, and all it took was a simple change of the radiator. I've put in a new one and it runs beautifully.

I have a Honda Ballade 160i with a 16 valve engine. Someone has revved my car too much until it dies. When I try to start it, it doesn't wanna start. I want to know what is affected on the engine because it doesn't get the power to start.

Hi. Own a 1994 Honda Luxline and it still goes hundreds, but I have a problem now with her; she is making a rattling sound when her revs go over 2000 when I start her and I want to change the gear. She is an auto. Please can somebody help me?

I own a 1985 pop up lights Ballade. I had the same issue for years. The fault was undetected, and thousands of rand later, my mechanic spotted steam entering the inside of the car. You wouldn't believe that water was escaping from the heater's tanks. Currently it's blocked off and car remains relatively cool.

I have a 89 Honda Ballade 150 SH4 16 valve. I had a similar problem as well. I had to install an additional electric fan, and the temperature now is always down. Great performance at 427 000km on the clock, I am proud to be the 3rd owner. Cheers.

Compliments of the new season! I have a Honda Ballade SR4 Luxline. Its fuel injection system is giving me hell, and a number of mechanics suspect the computer box is malfunctioning. I have now opted to convert it to carburetor system. May I please know if that maybe a good idea, and what is needed to accomplish that? Looking forward to some good answers, regards!

I have had my 87 Ballade for 9 months now and what an amazing car it is. I bought it from an old lady and the car had an overheating problem. The car would overheat regularly. This was because the car would gradually lose the water in the engine. I replaced the head gasket and still had the same problem. I noticed a few days ago that the carpet had a damp spot in it. I have blanked off the heater and the car seems a lot better.

I have a 1987 Honda Ballade 150I with the pop up lights.

The car starts, but it seems that the fuel is not filtering properly and it cuts out all the time. They mentioned that it needs a new distributor. Can one get a distributor for a 1987 Honda Ballade?

Biggest possible cause might be a warped head or if it has the alloy block that might off warped from the overheating... In some extreme cases, both block and heads warp on the full alloy setups; check the flat seating surfaces on both with a straight edge or alternatively a piece of flat glass sheet.

If it turns out that warping is the culprit, machining will have to be done to skim one or both. Also have a pressure test done on the head to ensure no ports are cracked. Fit a new head gasket preferably along with new head bolts and torque according to the manual's specs.
