1995 Honda Civic DX 1.5L 16v from North America

Summary:

A true import tuner-head's toy

Faults:

I honestly can't say that I've had any trouble from this car. The only complaint I had was that the 13 inch factory tires are not suitable for the car. But replacing them with some 17 inch Enkei's definitely did the trick.

General Comments:

I got this care from it's first owner who is a military mechanic. This means that he had a whole lot of time on his hands to make sure this car was kept up and kept up good. I added an AEM Fuel regulator and bar, 4-2-1 headers and a cold air intake that have jumped the horsepower up to make this little pony a serious competitor. I've recently added a few more tricks under the hood that are my little secret. Honda provided a good base and a few dollars here and there combined with a little elbow grease make this a ride that turns heads. I didn't set out to buy an import sedan, but I'm sure glad I did.

My 1995 Honda Civic Dx is a serious machine its all stock and I wanna know everything I can know about it, but there is no info anywhere, but dude it sounds like you have a serious honda so go hit up the streets and hondas rule!

Very good review that you have couldn't have done it better.

Why would you hop up a Honda? When I saw this review I was amazed at all the junk this goon put on his tinker toy. Whats the point? Honda's are not built for speed, they are built for economy, even the ugly 2 door. If you want to get some serious power buy something with a V8, because there is no point in trying to get horsepower from someplace where there was none to begin with.

Forget a V8. I say if you want good performance at a good price the impreza STi, TT Supra or EVO VIII would be the thing to get. I have an STi and I can destroy Mustang GTs.

A V8 is a piece of you know what... Honda's are the best... I wanna do some work to mine and get it to run a low 13 and pointers guys.. It's a 95 ex coupe...

1995 Honda Civic EX VTEC from North America

Summary:

Considering the overall cost to maintain this vehicle, it's the perfect car for me

Faults:

My battery kept losing its charge. I took the car to the mechanic and he found a loose and corroded cable. He replaced it.

My headlight seems to only be able to use the high beam. This is a minor thing. I should be able to fix it.

The previous owner took their speakers with them and only left me the speakers for the doors.

The only thing I'm really worried about is my SRS (supplemental restraint system) light. I'm told that could be a major cost to replace if needed.

General Comments:

This car handles cornering very easily.

Acceleration is not as quick as my 1984 300zx, but it does the job just fine.

This is a wonderful car. Wish it was my first car.

1995 Honda Civic CX 1.8 from North America

Summary:

Reliable gas miser

Faults:

Nothing as yet except the oil ran dry.

Also the factory speakers are garbage.

And the cassette player was junk also.

There is a lot of road noise at higher speeds.

General Comments:

I bought this car in order to save a few dollars at the gas pump. The fuel economy is awesome compared to my other vehicle. I get about 450 - 550 kms per tank, mostly highway. The Sunrunner was lucky to get 300 kms per tank. Terrible.

The only thing I can say is if you are looking to buy a Civic and you have kids, get a four door model.

The trunk space is quite large for a small car.
