My roof still rattles, but I HAVE solved the leaking problem (for the roof; my trunk doesn't leak)
Take a tube of clear silicone caulk and squeeze it onto your fingers, and with the top off and in the trunk, smear a thin layer on every strip of weather stripping.
After leaving a couple hours to dry, it should stop the leaking; it did for me at least.

The roof closing mechanism on my 1992 import has jammed. Does anyone know how to manually lower the roof mechanism so the car is at least drivable?

I have no roof rattling problem, but I do get leaking from the front of my roof near the window panel... How can I solve this problem?

I have the same rattling & leaking problem, but so does everyone else on here. Went to Honda today - quoted me 1250 bucks Canadian ONLY for the seals. Not happening.
So leaks - the only conclusion I've come to while reading all of these posts is silicone spray. How temporary are we talking here??
Rattling - I still haven't heard of a solution.
I love my del Sol, but I can only stand putting a tarp over it so many times.

Oh Boy, I have the exact same problem with my 1993 CRX. My mechanic lifted the small wing piece off, which sits parallel with the side of the bonnet. Underneath this, there's a white plastic 'umbrella' nut, which was loose. He cleaned it up, dried it off and put Honda bond on it... no more leaks so far. My boot is damp, but I think it's condensation now, just need to leave the boot lid open a bit on a nice warm day to dry everything out properly. Love the CRX.

del Sol owners!!! To fix the problem of leaking, dripping and squeaking of your targa roof, simply clean your weatherstripping. Have one person in the car, one outside with a bucket of water, and pour water on the parts that leak. When you find where it is coming from, spray "water resistant lubricant foam" in the area, and use a razor to remove the excess. I totally find that at Autozone, Walmart, O'Reilly's, etc...
For squeaking, get some window-wiper blazes (the rubber), and seal or glue it inside the grooved area where the targa roof meets the car. Do it evenly until you fill the gaps where vibration creates the squeaking...

I have a 1994 Honda Civic del Sol, and every time it rains, my seats get drenched. Can you tell me what I have to do to fix this problem? Thank you, Randy.

In the boot (or trunk if you're in the USA) on the left hand side at the back as you look in, behind the panel is the RCU (roof control unit). With the engine off and RCU exposed, place the key in boot lock and turn to the open position. Check the RCU, it has an LED on it that will flash in a series; the number of flashes will tell you the problem. If you need the manual, which explains the flashing sequence and problem, I can help with that.

Hi, can you send me the light flashes code for the Honda del Sol transtop control unit? Thanks.

If you are in the UK and require help with faulty Honda CRX del Sol roof/mechanism, there is a company Autoprotec who fix these roof problems and reset them etc. I think they are located North West England. www.autoprotec.co.uk
There used to be another company in the UK that specialised in fixing these roof problems, but they shut up shop.
