General Comments:

I have my Fit for about one month now and have put 2,000 miles on it—I have a 100 mile a day, round trip commute. My Fit still continues to amaze me.

The driver’s seat is very comfortable—so what if you have to manually adjust the seat--and after my one hour and a half commute I arrive refreshed, without leg or back cramps. Those who have sat in the back seats have said they are very roomy and comfortable. The Fit also gives quite a smooth ride for such a small car--it handles the bumps of the road well. It rides not too stiff, and yet on the other hand you don't bounce around as in some cars.

You have a panoramic view from the front seat, which is quite wonderful. The instrument panel has an upgraded look that rivals my wife’s Acura TSX, and everything is clearly marked and works exactly as it should. The fit (no pun intended) and finish of the materials and workmanship by Honda on both the interior and exterior is first rate.

The air conditioner is quite powerful in keeping passengers cool, and the radio/CD player in the Fit Sport, which I have, has six speakers and makes listening, whether to classical or rock music or audio books, a joy.

You can fold Honda’s “magic seats” this and that way and so we have been able to carry home in our Fit anything, no matter how tall or large, from stores. It is very versatile.

Most of my commute is on the highway—yes, on the dreaded N.J. Turnpike and Garden State Parkway--yet my Fit has had no problem merging, keeping up with traffic zooming along at 70 mph to 75 mph, or passing slower vehicles. The engine has plenty of pep and the car is agile and handles remarkably well. Of course, the Fit is no sports car, but it is just as much fun to drive. Part of this may be attributed to the larger 16” wheels and tires, which I opted for,--they should deliver better handling and I would recommend them.

The only minor improvements I might suggest would be: a dead pedal for your left foot, a louder horn, an armrest, and a latch or some other implement to hold on to or grip when closing the hatch. But this is quibbling—Honda scores big with the Fit. I am very happy with it. And besides-with the nose mask I got for my Silver Storm Fit--it is as cute as can be!

General Comments:

This is a great car. I bought this car in addition to my 2001 Honda S2000. I needed a car with more passenger room and better fuel economy to and from work.

I am very impressed with this car. It feels just as torquey if not more than my S2000. Of course, it doesn't compare to the S2000 in overall acceleration, but I am still very happy with it's acceleration.

I am getting a consistent 35MPG!!! I could not imagine that in my S2000, the best I can achieve in my S2000 is 19MPG, even in highway driving.

The Fit is reasonably comfortable, however, I would request better seats. Going around sharp turns I feel as if I must readjust my seating position often. This is quite annoying and doesn't happen in my S2000.

The gear ratios also should be adjusted. First gear ends at 34'ish MPH. I accidentally hit the rev limiter almost every time I drive it. It should be adjusted to 40'ish MPH and 60'ish in second gear, this would be more appropriate.

Overall, it's a fun little car that I am pleased to own. It feels very solid and stable even passing at 80MPH+ on the Interstate/Highway.
