1992 Honda Integra LS 1.8 from Australia and New Zealand
Summary:
Sporty handling and power, still good value as an older car
Faults:
My gearbox failed not long after purchase, and was mostly covered under the dealer's extended warranty.
Water pump blew at about 169,000km's.
Belts had to be replaced (at 169,00km's) as a result of a power steering leak, which is still to be fixed.
General Comments:
The Integra is a car with great looks, nimble handling, and reasonable power on tap.
Since purchase I have added a 2.5 inch sports exhaust system, Powerchip (http://www.powerchipgroup.com/) and a high flow air filter pod.
My estimate is that I've taken this car from 103kW to 120kW, conservatively. The auto really needed this boost (in my eyes) to get it closer to being as quick as its manual brethren.
The car itself has been really great, even given the problems I've had with it. I probably deserve these problems because of my driving style. Drive a car hard enough; it breaks eventually...
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
