Faults:

CV boots have cracked and leaking grease (pretty minor).

Apart from that... Nothing!

General Comments:

A supreme luxury saloon to directly compete with the Lexus LS400, Toyota Crown, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S Class.

I have only had my Legend for 1 year, and I'm really enjoying my time with it.

The car is now 16 years old, and was owned by a 92 year old retired doctor who absolutely pampered this car to its end. Serviced religiously at Honda dealer every 2,000km, with log books to prove it, it's only done a genuine 50,000km. Completely as new condition, I am very lucky to have come across such a bargain!

I'm only its second owner!

I was really surprised by the Legend's grunt in the higher rev range; it's very fast for such a heavy car, thanks to Honda sharing its racing pedigree during development. A bit sluggish down low, but once it gets on a roll, watch out for the massive torque burst when you rev it out.

The V6 is super smooth, right through the rev range.

The built quality is superb! Leather seats, with memory settings.

Electrically reclining rear seats, with radio controls and a compartment for a wine bottle!

ABS brakes and air bags fitted, so safety was ahead of its time.

Refinement is not up to standard compared to my previous cars (Toyota Crown & Cressida). There is more road noise and engine vibration in comparison (the Toyota Crown is still the most quiet car I have ever come across), however where the Crown lacked in power, the Legend makes up for it.

The suspension is pretty stiff. The big girl doesn't like pot holes and sharp bumps, and loses its composure on rough roads. It was meant for smooth highway cruises after all.

The car is quite rare these days, I have already had 4 people make me offers for it within 1 year. They make fantastic 2nd hand buys!

Faults:

Head gasket blew at 176,000 miles.

Fuel leak from rear pipes at 179,000 miles.

Both front disc's warped at 180,000 miles.

Passengers side drive shaft boot torn at 189,000 miles.

Both bottom ball joints worn out at 190,000 miles.

General Comments:

Car is a pleasure to drive, but frustrating to own with a succession of replacement parts due to high mileage.

However, still feels like the prestige car it was designed to be in 1993.

Faults:

Rear brake discs replaced (65,000).

General Comments:

A lot of luxury and performance at low used car price. Very quiet and easy on long distances. Built to last. All extras are standard. 30+ mpg easily achieved. Great V6 growl with foot down. Lacks prestige.
