I agree there should be a lawsuit. We were on our way to a store when right in the middle of driving the car just stopped. If it hadn't been during the evening in a 30mph speed limit, we would've been in a serious accident, especially since we were going to jump on a highway just before. I'm grateful that we didn't.
AAA transported the H3 to the mechanic who gave us the bad news the next day that it was the same issue all of you are having, and the cost is $4000 and it could be higher depending on what's underneath. It's ridiculous! As if we have that kind of money to spend just like that. Even if I did, why would I, especially after reading everyone's comments. How could I ever feel safe in it?
Very unhappy in NY.

Well I can see you are all having the pretty much the same problem I just found out I had. My 06 Hummer H3 has a blown head gasket; granted it does have higher miles at 139000, but it sounds like a common problem. Had the sun roof leaking inside, had the power locks quit working, driver's side window. I bought it from a dealership about in May of 2015; it seemed nice, but did have a bit of a rough idle, just thought that was normal; now I come to find that's an issue. I still have a long was to go to pay it off, and can in no way afford to fix it. I have heard that GM has had many complaints about this, but doesn't seem to care. I'm just so frustrated and thought to come on here and share my rant.

I would definitely join in on a class action suit as I am going down the same road.

I have a 2006 H3 which is also having this issue... I would very much so like to start a class action suit. We should be entitled to a recall. For a car like this, this is ridiculous.

Owner of a 2008 H3 with multiple repairs in the last year. Radiator, wheel bearings and now the dreaded valve job. Love the vehicle, hate the repair bills.
If there's a class action suit for the lack of recall for known problems, count me in. I can be emailed at eshea17@me.com.

I purchased my 2008 H3 Hummer 3 years ago, and at 74,000 I had to replace the transmission and now less than 6 months later have to replace the radiator. I see so many people who have had the same issues!! I'm so upset at the money that has gone into this vehicle.

I'm going to gather a list of all the emails that have been posted here to get this started hopefully. I just had my H3 crap out and I've had it for 4 months. It's time to take action.

You guys need to report this to the Ripoff Report; there are plenty of law firms that will eat this up.

I am in the same boat as everyone else. I bought my H3 new in 2006 and it is in mint condition with only 66,000 miles on it. Had the head replaced at 44,000 miles and GM supplied the head, but I had to pay the labor bill. Well, was at the dealership today with the same CEL concern and you guessed it, another new head is needed due to worn valve seats. I am speechless... The last GM car I will ever buy. What a ripoff!

I have an 07 H3 (i5) and absolutely love it... Except... All the repair costs. I've changed packs, plugs etc. and now it runs so rough, guessing it's the head. My opinion after reading pages and pages of the same issues is it's definitely made me angry. Always wanted a Hummer, and still love it, but am in such a bind now that I don't know what to do. I'm in if a law suit is filed.

I live in Southaven MS and bought a 2006 Hummer H3 Adventure in 2009 from a GM dealership. Absolutely loved it until 2012 when I hit 105k miles just after the warranty expired. Blown head gasket, warped cylinder head, then $3,000 hard earned dollars taken from my pocket. New radiator, plugs and coils, sunroof stopped working, camshaft sensors, temperature sensor, O2 sensors replaced. You name it I've probably replaced it.
About two weeks ago I had to replace the exhaust manifold for another $900.
Finally my Hummer was running exceptional like it should have since I bought it. Well good things come to an end. About two weeks after the repair, it started throwing cylinder 3 misfires. I changed the plugs again and coil packs with no resolve. My Hummer runs like a log truck as we speak. I cannot afford to keep pouring money in this POS$&@. There are plenty of people that have dealt the same pain I have dealt with and believe there is enough evidence over the years to get a class action lawsuit started. If there is one already out there, please let me know chad_garman@yahoo.com. I'm in!!!

I'm told that the 2007 H3 with 121500 miles needs cylinder #1 replaced. The estimate is 4000 dollars. I'm afraid if I get it fixed then cylinders 2, 3, 4 or 5 will soon go bad. Any advice from the H3 family is welcomed.

I would love to join. My 2006 is having engine problems and it's Hummer's fault for building crap.

I purchased a year ago and picked up an aftermarket warranty... I currently live in Charleston S.C and have to stay and work through Hurricane Matthew. The only reason I purchased the Hummer 06 H3 was for this situation where I need to get into the hospital where I work and save lives.
24 hours before storm is about to hit us... my truck starts running like crap... and I was able to read an engine light of 3rd cylinder misfire. Changed the plugs frantically and nothing. Next would be to change the coil... and pray it's not the valve...
No shops are open and everyone is evacuated Charleston S.C so I have the perfect storm vehicle that runs like crap... thanks Chevy...
Please keep my info handy for any class action lawsuits.

Please add me to this list as well. I have a 2006 H3 as well. At 55,000 miles, transmission went (said I "sheared a shrag"?), have had both left and right wheel bearings replaced, radiator issues, rack and pinion issues, oil light comes on at low RPM, check engine light on, change oil light on, and now, the truck is in the shop because it started spewing oil all over the inside of the hood. Have no idea what that problem is, but I'm guessing it won't be cheap.

Count me in if a class action is filed. This truck has been nothing but problems.
