I totally agree with the above comment, never will I buy another Hyundai coupe. The car is affordable, but you end up spending more on this car to be repaired than the value of the car.
Many other options for reliable, affordable cars to choose from.
Yes I think that Mazda astina is a good choice. My brother owns one and it runs beautiful and it's a head-turner.
I think it even looks better than a Hyundai coupe, but most of all no headaches and you'll enjoy driving it.
Hyundai cars don't keep its value in the market, too many problems and break downs.
I'm so glad I no longer own one.
Be wise and smart, say no to Hyundai.

Of course a Mazda astina 323 Hatch is better.
Way better, try the 2.0 astina that's even better.
Hyundai Coupe? I don't know what to say anymore, too much headache.
I used to support this car, but why???
Truth is I spend a lot on it getting repaired etc... and it's not worth it in the end.
I fell in love with the exterior.
Now coming to think of it, it's all cheap plastic.
I thought Hyundai cars are meant to be reliable, but in this case the Hyundai Coupe was designed to only attract people, but not do anything else.
It's designed for only females to drive, a powerless car.
I don't know why I bought one, I have had 2 break downs this year and the car is serviced on a regular basis. I have bad luck with this car, time to change it.
Might buy an Rx8, big change eyyy???

75% Accent under the plastics? The Accent appeared in 2000 in Australia... unless you are talking about the Excel/Accent, where you would be wrong again. The FX Coupe has 35 KW more than my Accent... so don't know what you are going on about.
His Ferrari coment is a metaphor, he doesn't actually mean it, he means it's a great car to look at. Sarcasm people. You also can't say that the Coupe's are that bad. It doesn't cost hardly anything for parts, because you never buy them new, you go to wreckers and get the same part that's been used a tad. Buying new car parts is a rip off for every car. And things do go wrong with cars, but if its looked after correctly, you will be spending less in the long run.
And it isn't bad acceleration for its age. A 1997 car, that you people say can't be classed as a sporty car... It's a pretty damn fast "normal" car then!
Go ahead, flame my comments. Do research and you will understand what I mean.
Laters, good luck with your car mate.

Hyundai spare parts are expensive, performance of the car is poor & everything seems to be cheap quality.
Interior/electrics seems to have problems.
Once you've done 200,000 k's or less on the car, say good bye.
If you want a car good price, reliable with style and a bit of performance try Mazda astina hatch 323, this is the car to look at.
I would never buy another coupe & I would not recommend it to anyone.
I think people who own a Hyundai enjoy the appearance of the car, but won't admit its problems, I know many people who seem to have issues with Hyundai coupes.
