2000 Hyundai Elantra GLS 2.0 L from North America
Summary:
A reliable car at an affordable price
Faults:
I have not had any major problems.
General Comments:
The only reason I gave an 8 out of 10 for comfort is due to the ride still being a bit rough. The car handles great though, and so far I have not had any problems. I drove the car from Chicago to Houston last winter, and have driven the car in all types of weather (rain, sleet, snow, etc) with no handling problems.
The cabin is roomy considering this is a small car, and the trunk space is huge. You can even expand the trunk space by folding down the back seats.
I get roughly 25-30 miles per gallon in the city, and get about 30-35 miles per gallon on the highway, so this is a very economical car.
Finally, I get a lot of comments about how great the car looks. It has a very unique style, and is not a common car on the road.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I feel the same way as the consumer who wrote this complaint. I have the same model car and I am at 18,900. I have brought it in complaining of hesitation in the engine and my lights dimming when you turn on the AC. They said it was nothing, now my car is dying when I come to a complete stop and my tachometer is jumping from 1 to 0 when it is idled. When I explained this to the tech he informs me that if my car's in the shop for more than a day, I still cannot receive a rent or loan car.
I think their service is horrible.
