1994 Isuzu Amigo XS 2.6 litre 4 cylinder 2wd from North America
Summary:
A fun and reliable light SUV
Faults:
The clutch needed to be replaced about three months after I bought it.
General Comments:
The overall performance of this light SUV is quite satisfactory.
The biggest complaint I have heard about this vehicle from other owners is that it is light on power with the factory system. This can be easily remedied with some moderately inexpensive after-market products.
While I have heard complaints about fuel economy, I put about $25 worth in the tank only every two weeks.
Spring and summer are bonus seasons; you can drive with the top off, and it only takes fewer than five minutes to replace it.
The backseat is deceptively roomy, and while it can be a chore entering it with the top on, the leg space in the rear bench seating compensates well.
The Amigo is simply a fun vehicle; its reliability and low operating costs make it relatively worry-free in the winter, and summer is fun in the sun!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Hey, I also have a 1998 Amigo and my friends agree with your comment about the back seat leg room. While the Amigo is still a "small" SUV, it is deceptively roomy and offers way more space than other "small" SUVs.
