1971 Jaguar XJ6 Chevrolet V8 from North America
Summary:
Series I classic
Faults:
-The front steering rack and pinion unit.
-Original Engine.
-Original Transmission.
-Hazard Switch
-Turn Signal Switch.
-Gas tank switch wiring
General Comments:
The car is simply a joy to drive. It sits low to the ground, and has a wide enough stance- perfect for touring, and for any type of long drive.
The rear end has the four spring/shock systems as used in Cobras, and a host of other cars, which provides a solid feel on the road.
As with all Series I Jaguars, it has chrome bumpers and early styling that appeals to everyone. These cars share many parts with the Series II and III Jaguars, which means that they can be easily restored. A used Series I XJ6 can be obtained in Southern California for around $1,000 dollars US- A true steal in my opinion.
