1982 Jeep CJ7 TN 4.2 6 cylinder from North America
Summary:
Worth the money, cheap to repair, goes anywhere, and very reliable
Faults:
Oil leaks around factory plastic valve cover.
Some rust showing in the interior of the Jeep in the floors.
Carburetor needs some work.
General Comments:
Absolutely love it!
Goes anywhere off-road.
Very reliable.
Get a 1982 CJ-7 if you don't own one.

Given that most people do not own a 1982 CJ-7, and that there just aren't that many still around. I think that if everybody took your advice, demand would far exceed supply.
I would say that (with very few exceptions) the AMC designed Jeeps tend to be far more reliable (and in my opinion superior) to the Chrysler designed models.
