1987 Jeep Comanche pioneer 4.0L from North America
Summary:
Small truck with heart of a full size
Faults:
Truck does not start properly when engine is warm. This is due to either the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. I need to do a pressure test to determine which.
Truck pulls to one side. Apparently it was in an small accident before I bought it. Had an alignment done, but the technician said that some non-adjustable components were out and needed to be replaced.
Engine used to slip out of gear at highway speeds. Replaced one of the sensors on the transmission. Problem cleared right up. (I think it was called the speed sensor, but I am not quite sure)
Coolant light comes on intermittently.
General Comments:
This has been an excellent truck for me and I would recommend it to anyone.
The truck has ample power for all my needs. I never have to worry about passing and I can barely even tell when I am towing something as the engine does not miss a beat.
The truck has over 250 000 kilometers, but the engine still runs as if brand new, and it does not use any oil whatsoever.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Hey I was wondering if you could let me know how much the sensor in the transmission costs and if you paid American or Canadian thanks.
