Faults:
I have only had 1 problem with my Jeep in the 2+ years I have owned it. I have put 40,000 miles on it and the only problem I have had is the water pump went out at 115,000 miles.
General Comments:
Jeeps are the best vehicles made. They are comfortable, can tow more than most will need, have more than enough room to haul stuff inside, and are AMAZING at off-roading. I take my jeep off-road about once a month and the only time I have even been stuck is when I was in thick mud up to my doors. My jeep is basically stock. The only upgrade is a dealership 1" lift, side bars (not running boards), and a brush guard. I have taken it on multiple trips from Ohio to Oregon with no problems. Even in a Level 3 snow emergency, I drove around on the roads without slipping when every other car was in the ditch or couldn't even make it out of their driveway. My jeep is still running strong and I plan on driving it until it dies (which will be quite a while). The only way anything would go wrong with it is if I didn't take care of it by doing the usual maintenence (oil changes, new air filters, etc). I will DEFINITELY buy another jeep if this one ever dies. Prior to this, I had a 93 Jaguar XJ6 and a month did not go by where I did not have it in the shop. I put in over $9,000 in repairs in less than a year before I finally sold it and bought my Jeep. I will never own anything else.
