General Comments:

The wagoneer was the first vehicle I ever owned, I purchased it when I was 17 years old for $950 US. We drove it 120 miles home with no problems except that the gas tank leaked fuel when it was full.

I purchased the vehicle as a learning device, and it served its purpose. I maintained the vehicle and learned how to make small repairs. Parts have always been abundant and fairly cheap. The Jeep is very easy to work on especially now that it's lifted 5".

I fabricated a lift for the jeep, cut out the fenders and put larger tires on it. From that point the Jeep changed drastically, but I have been very surprised at how well the Jeep has maintained its composure.

Fuel mileage has never been more than 10mpg even with the 2bbl carb. The motor is fairly powerful, I would guess that it goes 0-60 mph in around 11 or 12 seconds and top speeds are around 95-100mph. My particular model has the th-400 automatic transmission with a B&M ratchet shifter which makes for very fun driving. The transfer case is a dana 20 model which is a part-time case. The front axle has warn locking hubs.

This Jeep has served me very well, it is big, spacious and a little clumsy, but I have enjoyed owning it and I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

11-12 seconds? Come on. That's ridiculous.

I know this is old, but yes, 11-12 seconds 0-60 is accurate and ridiculous.
