41,000 miles on my 2000 Kia Sportage. I took it in a month ago for repair of the 4 Wheel Drive. I'm taking it in tomorrow for it's second 4 Wheel Drive repair. The first repair was under warranty. I expect the same for this one.
The oil filter adapter started leaking oil last month. Kia said that it wasn't covered under warranty. My cost.
I'll never buy another one.

Kia sportage does not have a oil filter adapter so if your kia has one someone like a quick change oil service co. put it on. I have a 2000 Kia sportage with 80,000 miles. on it and no it has not been perfect, but neither was my Ford escort, Chevrolet s-10 Blazer, etc. You really need to understand the owners manual and the preventive maintenance on this vehicle. GREAT CAR!!!

I'll sell you mine, if you like them so much. I hate mine. i had nothing, but problems with it. I would be happy to sell it to someone who loves them.

Your view don't ever ever buy a Kia Sportage - what utter garbage. I have been driving mine for 11 years and have had only pleasure.
Only now do I have to start replacing minor parts like the brights lights switch. If I can buy another Kia Sportage 2000 new or virtually new then I will do so.
I love my Sportage. I disagree with you.

Three years ago when I purchased it I hadn't heard of any complaints. I DID do a little research and none of it concluded that there were THIS many problems with the truck. I mean PLEASE, four wheel drive needs to be replaced TWICE under 23,000 miles???
