1992 Lancia Delta Integrale EVO1 2.0 turbo 16v from Netherlands

Summary:

As if it just came off a rally stage

Faults:

After 8000 kilometers my gearbox fell apart. A "gearbox specialist" fixed it for me. It took them more than three months to get my gearbox repaired. Some parts have to come from Italy, so that takes some time. In all it was quite expensive. 13000 kilometers later my gearbox broke down again. To save some money I just took out the engine and gearbox and stored my delta in a barn. It will be 2006 before my baby is on the road again. But I'm not thinking of selling this rally legend. Never!

General Comments:

Good power, just a bit of an old turbo. More lag than a sierra cosworth.

Perfect handling. Corners better than a Porsche.

People stop in front of you and smile or point at you. Have you ever stopped for an Impreza!!!

Incredible dashboard with seven dials and more than ten lights.

It won the WRC six times in a row. Who wouldn't want one.

1992 Lancia Delta Integrale 2.0 16v turbo from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Superb everyone should try one!

Faults:

The Brake Master cylinder has failed Once.

The Clutch Master cylinder has failed Once.

The Steering column switch gear has failed twice.

The central locking has failed twice.

The turbo needed to be refurbished at 80,000KM (which is not too bad)

The clutch has been changed twice in four years.

General Comments:

I purchased my Integrale in 1996 after seeing a picture in CAR magazine. (I had bought an 8 Valve Integrale the year before, because it was cheap!) But I was new to the Integrale marque, so when I saw a picture of an Evo that was it, I must have one of them!

It is fantastic to drive, I have spent thousands on improvements, Arbarth chip, Racing head gasket, Tar-ox drilled & grooved disc's all round, nylon bushes ever where (they really do make a difference), LEDA coil-over shocks all round and more.

The car now has 270BHP and 300Lbs of torque (the Arbarth chip give 1.4 Bar of boost from 2400RPM), but is still fine in heavy traffic and around town.

A friend of mine sums it up best in his words " It looks like it was designed by Aliens!" I think he is right, it is a time less classic. With a fantastic racing history. Long live Lancia!

1992 Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 1 2.0 8v turbo from UK and Ireland

Summary:

This is the most exhilarating car I have driven and owned!

Faults:

Soon after purchasing the car, it burnt out an exhaust valve.

The boost has been increased to 1.25 bar without increasing the fuel pressure!

A rear brake caliper seized and the alternator had to be replaced.

However in the last 2 years, virtually nothing has gone wrong, with the only cost being servicing and MOT's.

General Comments:

After seeing the Integrale as a rally car I had to have one. It took me 2 years to find mine (a white 8v Evo originally for the German market) and I still get an enormous thrill driving it.

The original cat has been removed and a amazing 1 piece exhaust (to the back box) has been fitted.

It runs on 17" Ronal alloys with Avon ZZ1's. It has the quick change gear selector and white dials.

The interior is black leather with Recaro seats. The car was cosseted by its previous (German) owner, with bills to prove it, with some nice engineering touches.

1992 Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 1 2.0 turbo from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Cheap supercar eater

Faults:

Small hole in the back box and front pipe of the exhaust at 96,000kms.

Clutch slave cylinder failed at 95,000kms.

Front right wheel bearing and hub replaced at 96,000kms.

General Comments:

This car goes like a rocket and handles like no other car I have been in.

Have left many Audi TT's, M3's and others, off the lights and left them for dust down twisty country roads.

People constantly stare at it everywere I go. I can't stop looking at it myself!

Main downfall is the fuel consumption (around 12mpg) if it is driven hard often (this is what it was designed for).

I use it every day of the week and never get bored of driving it.

'How can this car leave an m3 when it does 0-60 in 6 seconds.

M3 = 0-60 5.2 seconds.'

What a constructive comment...NOT. Save your magazine facts for a different car review, you're not talking about a chavvy VTS here.

The Integrale was and always will be one of the greatest cars ever built.

1992 Lancia Delta Integrale EVO I 2.0 turbo 16v from Spain

Summary:

The best car of more 60 I have owned

Faults:

I had to change all the hoses, the water pump, the exhaust rear box, the air conditioner charger died and the electric conection was disconnected.

I needed a crane truck four or five times to send the car to the garage.

The maintenance is expensive.

General Comments:

It's the best car I have owned. I have had more than 60 cars in my life. Actually I have eleven cars, Escorts MKI, MKII, Capris MKI, MKIII, Minis, Pajero 2.8 Tdi, etc.

When I brought the Lancia, during two months, my legs trembled when I stopped the car.

It's a future classic car, and its styling will never be obsolete.

I hope to own it forever.

This is one of the only cars you would cross the road to look at in any weather

Faults:

Clutch slave cylinder replaced under warranty.

Four new tyres or is that driver abuse?

General Comments:

The sort of car everybody looks at and you just can't help staring at it yourself, time and time again! Comfort with unforgiving acceleration.
