1998 Land Rover Range Rover P38a 4.0 SE from Hong Kong

Summary:

Luxury Cross Competence

Faults:

I bought it two weeks ago.

The light bulb went.

The air conditioning system is playing up (the dictionary sign), despite being checked by dealer straight after I bought it.

Sensor can be a pain.

General Comments:

I like this car; I had a Trooper beforehand.

The two look very similar (boxy), next car I will get is either a G-class or the new Range Rover.

The cabin is spacious and comfortable, but the boot seems smaller than the Trooper.

Overall it is a bigger car than the Trooper.

The sound proofing is much better than the Trooper.

Power is similar.

Brakes is not as good.

It sticks to the road; comparing to my E280, it is not much worse.

Fuel economy, according to www.parkers.co.uk, the Range Rover is 18 MPG, and the Trooper is 17 MPG. Not sure about this!!! (yet)

Looks and feels a lot better, definitely better than the X5 or the Cayenne.

I am a Rangie fanatic also. I own a Rangie P38A which I bought this summer in Hong Kong. Although there's a few minor electronic faults with my Rangie, I love it so much as it gives me a fantastic driving experience, a spacious cabin, luxurious surroundings and, most important, the superior air. I know a repair workshop in Sai Kung that gives excellent and value-for-money service to the Land Rover lovers in Hong Kong. So, every day (except Sunday), many Land Rover lovers gather there chatting, sharing and enjoying with others. Wish to see you there.

Dear Sir, may I ask which one car repair shop in Sai Kung is specialised in Land Rover/Range Rover repair?

1998 Land Rover Range Rover Vogue SE 4.6 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A luxury machine with an interior that would shame a Jaguar, combined with massive on road presence

Faults:

The rear center break light failed due to a relay.

Drivers electric seat failed which was replaced under warranty.

General Comments:

The Range is a beautiful example of British workmanship, finished in prestigious Alveston metallic red with an elegant contrasting beige leather interior.

The range is supremely comfortable and a pleasure to drive and own.

Handling is impressive considering the cars size.

The 4.6 provides sumptuous, refined power that will glide along highways.

Our family love this car and are considering purchasing the new 2004 Range.
