1972 Land Rover Series 3 109 safari 2.6 straight six from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Big, bad and the most fun to drive EVER!!!

Faults:

Hole in drivers due to brick.

Rear side window broke, due to same person and another brick.

Hydraulic clutch hose split. Previous keeper changed and routed it wrongly.

Centre exhaust piece failed.

New sidelights. Didn't fail cosmetic reasons.

Headlight conversion to Halogen.

General Comments:

Classic off-roader. The best 4 x 4 by far.

Yeah it's old and uncomfortable on long trips. It's a Classic.

The 2.6 is very thirsty. It sounds very intimidating when driven behind you.

Good ones are great.

Bad ones may be a cheap way to own, but not unless you are mechanically knowledgible.

Cool car - no windows. Had to sit in middle of the bench seat when it rains.

Good for scaring off new cars - particularly Mercedes.
