1989 Lincoln Mark VII LSC 5.0 HO from North America
Summary:
A cool ride
Faults:
Rebuilt the front end and air bags at all four corners.
A couple of ABS parts and a few other minor things.
Basically original shape in and out, clean factory paint.
General Comments:
This is my 3rd LSC and I always add a few performance touches to them.
First thing is always a Flowmaster exhaust change out. It's the cheapest way to increase HP, this time I also replaced the h-pipe and what a big jump in HP! Plus it sounds good when you get on it.
I also go to 235 60 16 tires instead of the 225 60 16. They fill the wells real nice and don't rub on hard lock turns.
I'm running on Continentals right now and really like the way they stick and have about 20,000 on them and they look good still. I should get about 35,000 out of them.
If you want to increase your performance feel, try running in drive instead of overdrive while in the city. You end up with cleaner shifts up and down with the overdrive not used. I hate the shift to overdrive at 45 in the city. And with the exhaust done you get a nice sound just cruising too.
I also have a trick or two more under the hood, I like the sleeper look and having the power to back it up.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I just had an idiot break my aluminum rim off my 1989 LSC while he was changing my tire, and trying to find a replacement wheel for this car is very difficult. The only steel rim I could find come off a 2003 Ford Ranger. The hub size is the same and so are the bolt patterns, and I have to put two 15" rims on the front. If you know where I can find some replacement 16" aluminum rims, contact me at blbeck9@yahoo.com

I have done my exhaust too and it does run much stronger.
