Faults:

Engine timing is totally retarded. While driving slow, if I press the accelerator quickly to accelerate, the car hesitates (does not accelerate) then surges forward. Scary. It’s not easy to feather the accelerator in slow moving traffic.

Navigation is very unreliable. It has generated wrong directions many times. It has changed the destination I inputted. Cannot be trusted.

Nav screen freezes at times. After completing the turn as shown on the screen, screen still shows the same command instead of showing the next move. Unsafe because one may be tempted to make a sudden change, causing an accident.

I have had some near misses, traveling to Branson and St. Louis, MO. Now, I just use my iPhone for directions. Dealer person said “can you read a map?”

Vibration at highway speeds:

From the day I picked up this new car, there has been vibration at highway speeds. Brought it back to the dealer several times. One guy kept saying “it’s within spec”. Finally, I recorded the vibration with my iPhone while dealer was riding with me. They replaced the tires. Vibration is gone, but only after a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

“Stop & start” feature only works part time. I never turn off the switch, but it does not work all the time.

Heated Steering Wheel:

This feature is nice, when it works. In this car, it is not a sure thing whether it will work or not. I never turn this off, but it turns on/off by itself.

General Comments:

I’m paying a lot of money every month for this car.

I totally regret getting this Nautilus.

I’ve had a new Volvo, new Jag, new Continental, MKC, Expedition, several Explorers, several Escapes, 2 Mazdas; every car listed was new when I got it. I never took any of these cars back to the dealer for repairs.

Now I’m stuck with what I believe is called a “lemon”.
