My dad had a 1988 bought new and kept til 2005 when he passed. He also had 2 other cars to drive in the city. He drove from Delaware to Florida to escape the cold winters. He chose all white model (better in the Florida sun). On long interstate trips for hours it would be hard to choose anything nicer ride wise. I can’t remember exactly what he paid for it new. My driving comment on this car was it was built for interstate travel. It took every bit of the lane. Getting out you were not tired as it had a great ride. For city use you need a second car or avoid this one. He had over time a 62 Convertible suicide door and a 73 Silver Mark which was my favorite to drive. These were new then. He had some Cadillacs, but this isn’t a review on them.
The 88 over time needed new brake lines and suspension work. I remember it needed cosmetics with age. He had the interior leather dyed from white to really nice blue. And the vinyl roof white to blue. It cost 3k to do that. I was given the car as part of his estate, but it didn’t fit my car preference. For what he bought it for as a long distance highway car it was ideal. He also said he felt very safe in it. He kept it nice and always took it through White Glove. I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t still being driven today. His went from a garage to a carport so still looked presentable. Except for the clear hood shield to address the Florida Junebug population. It worked, but not something I would put on a car.

After that, keep rolling them up and down every few days. Especially if you use the A/C more than the windows.
