I have been using this car for the past 8-9 months and in my honest opinion the car's performance is good as expected. We were first looking for Accent before going to the Maruti dealer, but we changed our mind and thought that the Baleno is a very good looking car as well. When we went there and had a test drive, we were surprised by its performance. As compared to Accent, Baleno is way ahead and in the mileage as well. It's the car which keeps its promises.

I am planning to buy Maruthi Baleno. It's the 2003 model. What's the opinion on this? And how is the maintenance for this car? Can any of you tell me?

Hi, I had also purchased Maruti Baleno second hand in Feb 2008, the model was Jan 2005 with 38000 km.
Trust me its simply beautiful. I have drove more than 10000 km. always get an average of 12 kmpl in Delhi and now its running on CNG from last 3000 km. I am very very happy. It's a noiseless great piece of engineering.
I love Baleno. you can contact me on 09350474256.

I bought a used Baleno- LXI- 2005 model. I drive on weekends for about 100km - 80% of which is on Bangalore - Mysore highway... I get an average of 12.6 km/ litre with AC. Though it is a big car, you find it completely at ease while maneuvering...
It is most unfortunate, that Suzuki dropped this model.

Hey, I am planning to buy a used Baleno, mostly likely a 2005 or 2006 model. Can anyone please let me know whether I should go for an LXi or VXi. Will upgrade the wheels to 17", and fit with a sports spoiler, so I think the VXi is not worth it for me. What do you think?

You get good information on carwale.com. Go for individual sellers only (avoid dealers as they cut in huge margins). I bought one recently (Baleno Aug 2005 LXI BSIII done 35k) and am very happy.

I recently bought 2005 Baleno Lxi, and it's a cool car, and the power is good enough on highway, and it can touch 140 easily without any problem, but braking is not upto the mark. Comfortable seating.

I have been using this car for last 6 months, There is a noise in the shockers or suspension (not sure) while taking a turn, but the company says that it's a manufacturing fault and every Baleno has this problem. Can any body please advise me if they are facing the same problem, or does anybody know the solution?

Hey, I have brought a Baleno LXI 2005, 50k done... It's a superb car man, no vibrations, no rattling sounds. Actually I have now attached a header and a Remus muffler, and it has now more horses inside. Still, it runs 10k per litre...

Hi, I'm Pradeep from Belgaum. I've been using a Baleno for 3 months. I'm very happy with the performance, and the shocking news is it gives 19 KMPL on highway, it's amazing, and it has a very smooth engine; no noise and high pickup.

I have bought a Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2005 model as a third owner. It seems that after being driven for 1 hour, the rims of front are both getting hot, mostly the driver's side rim. Is is normal, or should I find out something about the brakes, bearings etc?

I've been using a Maruthi Baleno LXi car for last 4 months. I would like to place on record that my selection was excellent. I have driven the car for 4000km on the highway as well as in the city. The performance of the car is excellent, and I can recommend this to anyone who is planning to buy a car in this class. I am getting a 10km /l mileage on an average. I am happy with the performance and also the price I paid.
I had made a survey of all cars in this segment and all others were costing much more. I would recommend Maruthi to increase the ground clearence a little so that it will clear all bumps.
