1994 Mazda B3000 Extended Cab V6 from North America

Summary:

Excellent

Faults:

Emergency Break doesn't engage sometimes and have to repeat pressing lever.

Shifting into 1st and Reverse gear requires shifting into 2nd or 3rd first;this has been a problem almost since new.

General Comments:

At 123,500 miles have not yet replaced clutch!

Engine feels strong even after all these years.

It's an excellent vehicle in every way!

My B3000 has only 44,500 miles on it and I'm having clutch problems. They started when the temps went down to sub-zero. Now it's locked in gear when running and I can't shift gears. Fixing will require removing the tranny in order to get the parts that need replacing. At least a $500 ++ job.

I have owned my Mazda B3000 SE since 1994 when bought brand new. I love my little truck, I have never had problems with it other than the usual maintenance from wear and tear. I love my truck so much I will put a new motor in it when it dies (currently at 200,987 miles and still running strong). I have done all my own maintenance, and it has been pretty painless.

1994 Mazda B3000 3.0 Liter V6 from North America

Summary:

Best truck I've ever owned

Faults:

Failed nitrogen oxide emissions testing in February 2004. The nitrogen oxide emissions failure was caused by overheating due to a leaking radiator. Replaced the bad radiator and passed the emissions testing.

U-Joints went out on the car at 26,000 miles, but were fixed under warranty.

Replaced leaky clutch master cylinder at 50,000.

Replaced ignition switch at 70,000 miles.

General Comments:

This B3000 has been a great truck with a great engine, and has performed much better than the Toyota truck I previously owned. It still runs great and is easy to work on.

Here's an update. I have 86,000 miles on my B3000 and it is still running great. For some reason my wife hates it, but I love it. It runs much better than my old 1985 Toyota and has been far more reliable. At least three people have stopped me and offered to buy my truck, but I can't sell the best vehicle I have ever owned.
