1993 Mazda MX6 LS 2.5 from North America
Summary:
I love this car even after 10 years of service
Faults:
Idled rough - Spark plug wires replaced under warranty.
Rear window Brake light stopped working - repaired under warranty.
Driver side Window/lock switch broke replaced under warranty.
Ash tray broke - replaced under warranty.
CV Joints replaced - under warranty.
Water pump leak at ~70,000 miles.
Plastic illuminated door keyhole falls apart after some time. Drivers side covered by warranty, but has since broken again.
Began stalling under high RPMs, low speed. Replaced Distributor.
Currently in the shop for stalling problem. Suspect Throttle Position Sensor ($150 from Autozone, easy install, 2 screws and connector)
General Comments:
This is a great car.
Fun to drive.
Comfortable.
Tires are hard to find economically 205/55/R15.
Wish it had keyless entry.
Easy to work on.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Hey man, I have the same problem, except mine will shutter really bad. The mechanic I went to checked it out and said there was oil puddling up around the spark plugs, where they connect to the plug wires, causing the plugs to foul after a while. It will burn the coil up; that may be why you had to replace it four times; just put a new set of valve cover gaskets and it will fix it for a while. Mazda had a recall on some of the MX6s because of this problem.
