I am the new proud owner of a 93 MX6 3 owner and 143000k on the clock... so far I have replaced the distributor igniter, and a fuel pump and filter. Both the latter were probably not needed, but we were trying to find out why she died on the side of the road after re fuelling..

Anyway, so far so good. I love my car; it sticks to the road like s### to a blanket and turns heads wherever she goes. Dream to drive and I look forward to years of great motoring.

93 LS MX6 V6 5 speed 296 hp. Owned this car for a couple years now. It sat for a year in my back yard waiting on a replacement "stub axle", which I couldn't find anywhere. I replaced the bearing for $20 and didn't need to find a replacement part anymore.

Also when I got the car, the driver's side power window motor was gone, replaced that, took it for a safety check, all it needed was rotors.

This car starts up on a dime, barely uses any gas, is turbo charged and doesn't overheat. Did I mention it has almost 400 000 miles on it?

The only time this car has upset me was when changing the power steering belt, the tensioners broke; I found a parts car and I'm back on the go!

THIS WAS THE FASTEST CAR I'VE EVER OWNED BEFORE IT GOT THE TURBO, now it's just insane.

I have a 94 Mazda MX6 2.0. I have had it for about 2 years, and I have only had to replace the clutch (wife can't drive a stick). But anyway, it only had 180,000 miles on it with bad valve guides, and now it has 289,000 miles on it, and still has bad valve guides.

I love this car, it's the best I have ever had, and it still runs like a champ!!! Go Mazda.

I have this car, a Red 93 Mazda MX6, and have had it since 97. Now to be honest when I saw this car I fell in love with it. It was candy apple red with black leather interior, sun roof the works. I have driven this car for years back and forth to work everyday. Now that this car is old with 150,000 miles, I have had nothing but problems with it. I took care of this car and can't seem to let it go, but to keep having to change the distributor at $800.00 every few years, brake calibers freezing, steering problems, built in alarm going off (and can only cut it off on the passager side), wire, sensors, electical (engine light on, brake lights staying on etc, it has become a nightmare of a car. It could be a good old car if you have $1000's of $$ to keep it on the road. You will see down the road a lot of problems that will cost you to fix, things that I have never seen go bad on other cars I have had over my 30 years!

In December of 1992, I bought my first MX6 new, the LS 6 cylinder. I had to replace the spark plug harness, the distributor, and after 15 years, I replaced the belts and hoses. Great car. Wrecked in 2007, saved my life. T-boned at 40 mph, then rear-ended, I walked away from that. Still have the car, hope to get it fixed someday.

Bought one for my daughter used, for $1500 6 years ago. It is the 4 cylinder, gets 34 mpg. Very few repairs on this one as well.

Also own a 97 LS that runs great, current driver and a 96 LS MX6 with a bad engine to switch with the first car that is wrecked. These cars are also great in snow, if the snow isn't deep and if you have snow tires.

I am sort of a fan of these cars, and had good luck over the years.
