My car has just arrived to 190,000kms (a little more than 118,000 miles). Still it is as reliable as always, it accelerates as new, the transmission shifts perfectly, everything works.

A/C is a little slow to get cold, but after some 3 minutes it is quite cold, I will recharge it (it is 10 years old).

I have just done a 1500kms trip; I feel completely confident about this car, is so reliable I wouldn't hesitate to take it to the farthest places, even to take it to the USA or to Canada, instead of renting a car. This car is a joy to have.

Update: I still have this car, and today 8th October 2015, it just turned 309,000km - a little over 192K miles.

The engine is running very strong. In this time I have only had one major problem, it is the connection of the MAF sensor, which leads the car to drop power. I have to restart it and then it would function for some time until the next drop on power. This has been solved by my mechanic, but he struggled to find the cause. The dealership told me to change the engine management system, at a high cost - $1650.00 USD.

Also there have been numerous hoses changed, because there was a smell of oil and it sounded like a vacuum hose was broken. Nothing very important, at the end, and solved quickly.

Nothing more. The clutch is the same, changed at 211,000km; the transmission is well, and the engine is wonderful. The sensation of the engine in acceleration, sound, etc, is the same as 16 years ago, and it seems to me that it will endure some 300,000km more.

355,000km today. As reliable as always. I've changed the radiator at 330,000km. The shock absorbers twice, the second one was recent, at around 350,000km. I have driven this car at top speed just last week, around 180km/h. Very solid car. I plan to keep it for years to come and it is still my everyday car.

Tell us when you will have 1 million km, I'm sure by then you will not have a single problem with it. Do you actually own this car for real? How about other owners who reported countless problems with much much less km,; what do you do to have such a special car that has almost no problems?

Of course I own it, and I still have it. I have two of them, same year, one is an Elegance with AKS and the other is a Classic with normal clutch. The Elegance has 220,000kms, no problems whatsoever. The Classic has 366,000kms, and the same, very strong, just normal services, change of normal wear and tear pieces. Not only they are very good and reliable, but they are also solidly built inside and everything is still in good working order. They even accelerate perfectly.

Most problems with these cars had to do with the automatic transmission. Once solved, that wasn't either a big problem. But both of mine are manual transmission ones.

I can give an update, since I still own both of my A160, one AKS and the other a normal clutch one. The normal clutch one has just turned 386,000kms two days ago. It runs perfectly. It has recently developed an oil leakage from a hose. Not a strong leakage, but nevertheless, I'll address that soon. It runs very smooth. This year I changed the battery, it must have been the fourth battery since new. I changed brake pads last year. One of the air vents in the back broke this year. I've simply replaced it. The front wipers got stuck a couple of months ago and this burned the wiper's motor, changed it too. And last year a cooling hose broke, just two blocks from my house. All the coolant went out. Nothing serious happened, it didn't overheat, I still made it home. Changed the hose and that was it. I'm still delighted with both of these cars, with their durability and reliability. I'll update at 400,000kms. Cheers!
