Bought the 430 CLK AMG with 157,000, but a great looking shape - it's fast and it's hot, and when I drove it, it got hot fast. It needs everything, and it has the malfunction constantly on the panel - the guy saw me coming and that was it...

It's a money pit, and I am financing their parts and labor dept clear into the next paycheck. If you buy this car - dump it quick unless you own a shop or stock in Mercedes. This was a fatal attraction on my wallet, even if it kicks out its competition on the stop light with its fast speed, in the long run the "house" Autohaus always wins.

I feel like the dumbest person on the planet while I write this sitting at the dealership kicking myself - I wish it was the car I thought it was. I really think I'm way over my head - I guess low miles and a good mechanic go well if you live in the right tax bracket. Good luck to all who have one of these cars; I wish no one the problems I have had. It's a great dream if you can afford an oil well.

I want to buy a CLK 2000 model. Please tell me more about the car, and also the fuel economy, along with common problems that may likely occur.

Just plug into the Internet, problems and complaints with a 2000 Mercedes Benz CLK car. It will you everything you need to know about that car. Its good points and bad, and all its costs. Read everything about the car until you are blue in the face. Then if you feel good about it... go out and get your 2000 Mercedes Benz CLK.

Gosh. That sounds like a lot of work.

Why can't you just summarize all that in a comment here?

Five years later, and still no summary. Guess I'm never going to get that CLK 2000 :(
