Interesting. A reviewer who says only 2 small problem in 150,000. It is more than obvious the review was not written by an actual owner. And below, a real review with an angry owner telling the real things. The joy of the Internet.

Exactly how big must a problem be, to be reported? I'm sure both the S-class and BMW 7-series (especially of that generation) are equally complicated and I personally wouldn't touch either with a barge pole. But my previous BMW was a much simpler 3-series which I kept for 9 years until it was nearly 20 years old. Sure, during routine maintenance I've had some leaking gasket fixed at the same time, the radiator was replaced when it was 16 years old, one or two suspension bushes too. But that's maintenance.

It happens a lot on here, but I don't think it means a fake review. Sure people can be biased, but more likely they just don't remember or forgot to list every fault. I wrote a review of a car I had a while ago that I bought used and had good reliability even after 100K miles and many years, but someone left a comment saying this was impossible, probably because they had a more negative experience with the same model of car, and had a go at me because I didn't list every maintenance item I had over many years (Probably because I don't remember or count worn tires and brake pads as faults; they are wear and tear).

I don't agree with this guy's comments. I think he really has a Lexus and is trying to convince others to buy Lexus, because if you read the other comments from owners, they all love the car.
I love the 140 body, but I also love the w220 also. I do know that Mercedes spent a billion dollars on the W140, and it maybe one of the most over engineered Benz ever.
