1991 Mercedes-Benz W124 200E 2.0 petrol from Netherlands
Summary:
My first Mercedes, and certainly NOT my last one!
Faults:
There was a leak in the wiper washer tank, due to dry rubbers. Very easy to fix.
General Comments:
Very nice car, which I bought from a Citroen-dealer. This dealer bought the car from an older man who only used it to go to church on Sundays, and sometimes to visit some family. Unbelievable, but in 14 years the car has made only 65000 kilometres (40.000 miles)! So it was no surprise the car drives like new... Well, I always say: it is possible to drive a new Mercedes for only 3,500 Euros (approx $4,000).
The only disadvantage is that the car has no air conditioning, power windows and armrest in the middle for the driver.
But the heating is very good, and separated for the left and right part of the cabin.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

This car is awesome. A 1991, 300E 2.6 in pristine condition. All panels dent and scratch free, interior is flawless except for some carpet wear between the two rear seats. Mechanicals and electrics all work, but the transmission seems to slip some when in reverse. Black on gray two tone (lower cladding) and all chrome shines like new. But the kicker? 261,000 miles on the odometer and it still runs like new! People give approving nods and comment and simply dont believe it. Gotta get oil changes religiously or the car will go to spoil. I recommend every 3000 miles and no more. NEVER synthetics.
