1994 Mercury Cougar XR-7 4.6 Liter V8 from North America
Summary:
A great car with the performance of a Mustang!
Faults:
Before purchasing the vehicle the driver's side window wouldn't go down. The dealer fixed this for me at no charge.
It makes some really weird noises from the right front tire. Not sure if it's something with the brake or if it's something with the tie rod end.
The brake light comes on for some reason.
At 138,000 miles it has just now started to leak oil. Before then I only had to put oil in it once every 3000 miles.
General Comments:
For a V8 my car gets great gas mileage. I'd say it gets about 20 miles per gallon in the city and about 25 miles per gallon on the Highway.
I have never had to put the car in the shop for anything at all.
This car is powerful and has beaten several mustangs and other rival cars.
Great for road trips.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I bought a 94 Cougar XR7 at the auction yesterday for $400. Perfect body, nice interior, needs paint, but the 4.6 engine runs like a dream with a hundred and ninety eight thousand miles, no smoke or engine noise. I'm very impressed with the comfortable drive and the power it has.
