1990 Mitsubishi Lancer SE 1.5 from Australia and New Zealand
Summary:
Ahead of its age in looks inside and out, this car is a must for the younger driver
Faults:
New engine and gearbox was needed about 4 months after I first got the car, original components that came with the car in 1990, 13 years not a bad life.
4th gear (OD) stopped working, cost 200 dollars to get fixed.
Engine was about 1 litre of oil a week, cost $1000 for a reconditioned motor.
I totalled my car, totally my fault though.
General Comments:
Pretty comfortable cabin.
Car looks really modern for its age, both inside and outside.
Even after me running the car into a pole, the car is still on the roads and looks as though it has never been in a crash. Thanks to a few people the car was saved from the junkyard.
Very good car to show off your car audio ;-) The rattling from the hatch is actually very little considering it is a hatchback afterall.
Even though the old engine and gearbox were on their last legs, the car was still reliable and has yet to break down on me. With the new engine and gearbox the car works 100% the way it should, and runs very smoothly and goes quite well for such a small car. The engine sounds pretty good too.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I drove one of these once. Was the worst car I have ever driven. Very bad quality car.
