Hi.

I am about to buy an Mitsubishi RVR 96 model for a very reasonable price. Is there any advice on how expensive parts are and who would insure an imported vehicle as two companies have declined so far. Could you please reply to daddyc34@hotmail.com with any advice. Thanks

I have a 1998 RVR and have a annoying transmission judder which occurs at 42mph and then at +- 56mph. I have had my wheels balanced several times to no avail, have put new tyres on the vehicle, and still the problem persists.

Has anyone experienced this problem... could it be the torque converter?

Torque converters have been known to give early trouble in some RVR's - could be the cause of transmission shudder?

I bought a 1998 RVR with a 1.8L GDI engine. I opened both the rear wheels to check for any defects. I noticed that the wheel bearings cap contained no grease, compared to that of my other car. Should it be like this or do I have to put extra grease in the cap?

Hi, I am thinking of buying a 2000 RVR 2.4 4x4, but would have a problem with the Multicommunication System which is all in Japanese. Is there an English version available for this?

Thanks for any help.

Dear colleagues:

I have experienced a problem of changing 2wd mode to 4wd mode in the car computer. The issue is that everything is in Japanese. Can you advise me on the step-by-step process of changing it without disconnecting the accumulator?

Erik.

I have 5 speed manual RVR, but I can't get a pressure plate.

Which car's plate can I use? The new one is going for USD 700, that's expensive. What can I do?

I too have experienced the judder? OMG, what a nuisance it is. Had the transmission oil changed, that helped for two weeks, just bought a shuttering oil to hopefully stop the juddering racket! If not, then it will be a big job. Spark plugs are on special this week, just under $7 each, normally $20 each.

Hi there. I worked for Mitsubishi for several years. This is a common issue. It is either the oil creating varnish deposits and sticking solenoids in the valve body, or more expensively, the torque converter needs to be re-lined.
