1989 Nissan 240SX from North America
Summary:
A life-saving performance miracle
Faults:
The timing chain went due to cheesy American parts (replaced with a good double roller). Normally it would've been pricey, but my friend gave me a good deal on it.
The brake pads needed changing.
Belt wheel cracked possibly during a wreck with a ford, leaked oil (I use synthetic) and not found until the timing chain was replaced. luckily that was no problem because my friend had a spare.
General Comments:
A friend of mine who deals extensively in Nissan totally rebuilt the engine of an 89 240sx. When the potential buyer decided not to buy the car my dad seized the opportunity to purchase this amazing vehicle. Later on that year he went head on with a ford who failed to stop at a stop sign at 45 mph. The front end was wrecked to the firewall and the driver of the ford was pinned between the seat and the steering wheel (the jaws of life were used). My dad jumps out of his car (doors working perfectly) and called 911. My dad was treated for a bruise across the chest while the ford driver had bills a mile long. His insurance paid for everything, including; buying the new car and paying to have the engine rebuilt, using most of the parts on the wrecked car. Since then I bought it from my dad and have been loving it ever since.
My friend loves this car and treats it like it was his own.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

You use "ford" as if you're trying to say something about the company. How about your dad hit a small car or suv or something. Not just a... ford...
