1990 Nissan 240SX fastback 2.4 from North America

Summary:

Good car at a very good price!!

Faults:

Nothing much has really went wrong with the car and the stuff that has was just little stuff.

The driver seat is broke.

I had to replace the thermostat and anybody that has done it knows it is very hard.

I replaced one of the front wheel barrings.

The valve cover gasket which took all of ten minuets.

The drivers window lift cable broke and had to put the window regulator in it which only took 30 min.

The antenna dosen't go up and down anymore.

The odometer has 173,000 miles, but it only works when it woants to.

General Comments:

Like said the odometor says 173,000 but it has much more and I don't ever think that it will ever quit running.

The car handles like its on rails mine has the stock size tires and rims on it and it will go around a corner faster than any of my friends cars do. It will just not let go of the road.

The car has one of the best looking interiors of any car that I have ever seen.

I am 6 feet tall and fit in it and I have plenty of room for me and the person on the passenger side, but the people sitting in the back do not have hardly any room at all.

The car is my little baby.

1990 Nissan 240SX Hatchback V6 2.4L from North America

Summary:

I love it.

Faults:

Front drivers seat is worn down a little.

Not really a problem, but the car has no cup holders and the only logical place to install some is by taking out the ashtray.

Engine wise, nothing has gone wrong in the 7 months I've owned it. As long as you take care of it, it will run fine. 15 years old, and 120k+ miles and it still generates around 150 B/HP @6500 rpm.

General Comments:

Accelerates quick out of a turn and from a stop light. Pretty good at embarrassing people who think Mustang's can actually beat it.

Handles great and responds quickly.

A great choice if you like to tune cars and add after market body parts.

I'm 6'1" and fit in the car fine. I move my seat back and feels like I'm driving a Lamborghini.

Can't fit more than 3 people in the car comfortably. The back seats are fit for small children.

It's cheap. I bought mine for $2,750.

Man you should think about what you mustang owners say about the 240s. there more potent than you think. there's not much to say when you (i.e. mustangs) get dirt in your face because you didn't think twice about them. and yes I do own both of them a 1991 Nissan 240sx and a 2003 Nissan 350z, and yes they both dust stangs like no other. just a warning to whom ever tries to race one of us, don't be fooled were quicker than you think. I love my cars and I feel more comfortable driving in one of them than I do in a ford so just be fair warned.

1990 Nissan 240SX Fastback KA24E from North America

Summary:

Bullet proof reliability in a sports car.

Faults:

Radiator hose blew at 145,000.

Seats are beginning to wear.

Fuel injector O-rings are worn.

Valve seals are worn.

General Comments:

Car was thrashed when it was purchased, yet it still starts and runs every single time.

Even though it has been nearly demolished and totaled once, this car is quick with razor-edge handling.

Perfect machine for tuners, the engine can push a LOT of horsepower for not a lot of money.

With a 1.8 inch lowering and 17 inch wheels, the car is still unable to scrape over speed bumps, and handles better than most sports cars.

Beautifully done interior, although the back seat works only for pets and/or groceries.

Stereo is meek and lazy, but I was able to fix that with some new speakers and a pair of sub woofers in the large trunk.

Truck engine produces lots and lots of low-end torque. Launches off from a dead stop.

Most fun car I have ever driven, and plan to keep this car for years to come.
