General Comments:
I received my 1998 Nissan Altima SE as an early graduation gift in the summer of 2002. (The salesman tried to persuade my mom to give me a Mitsubishi Mirage that had just below 100,000 miles on it.... yea right)
The Altima had 93,000 miles on it when I got it.
After three years of me owning the car, it has 150,000 miles on it(57,000 miles I put on it myself).
I've only had to perform regular maintenance on the car and fix items that went out because of normal wear and tear.
My car rides great and is almost silent while idling. My Altima still handles well, especially for a car of its age. Often people cannot believe my car is seven years old simply because of its excellent physical condition (interior and exterior) and because of how quiet the engine runs. I am so greatful that my mom decided to give me a Nissan Altima before I graduated. Some of my friends have cars such as the Ford Focus, Tarus, and many other American made cars. Their cars have a substantial amount of miles less than mine, but for some reason my Nissan Altima runs, sounds, and looks better than their cars..... go figure.
